Audrey Calianos, Registered Dietitian

I'm a Registered Dietitian and co-owner of Sol Charleston, and I want to start by telling you something that you might not be expecting… My first job was at Ben & Jerry's, and I usually still have a pint in my fridge! I say that because I want you to know from the start, this is a space where we figure out how to live balanced and actually enjoy it!

My story

I grew up struggling with my weight. I was obese as a kid, felt completely out of control around food, and spent years fighting my body instead of working with it. That changed when I started seeing a dietitian myself and joined my high school rowing team.

Rowing was the first time I ever felt proud of my body. It was the first time I felt like a partner with it rather than at war with it. I learned what it felt like to fuel myself with intention, to get stronger, and to feel genuinely good in my skin. That experience is a big part of why I do this work, because I know what it feels like to be on the other side of it, and I know what's possible.

I went on to study dietetics, moved to Charleston for graduate school, and have spent over five years working with clients one on one, learning that nutrition is a science, but eating is a behavior. And those can be two very different things.

How I work

I'm not here to hand you a meal plan and send you on your way. I'm here to learn your story, ask questions, celebrate your wins, and help you understand why your relationship with food is what it is, so we can shift it toward what you really want and deserve.

Here's what I've seen over and over: someone can know exactly what to do and still not do it. That gap, between knowing and doing, is where most of the real work happens.

What's on your plate is only part of it. Eating is shaped by everything around that plate, your stress, your sleep, your history, your emotions, your beliefs about yourself. So much of it runs on autopilot, shaped by patterns built long before you ever thought about them. If you've ever said "I know what I should do, I just don't do it," that's exactly what we work on together.

Food and feelings are deeply connected, and this is a space where both are welcome. I've spent years doing this work with clients, and I've watched it change people's relationships with their health in ways a nutrition handout never could.

Come as you are and bring what feels important to you each week, your health is a whole picture, and I want to see all of it! True health begins from the inside out. Food is not just fuel, it's celebration, connection, and empowerment. You deserve support that honors both your biology and your story. That's what I'm here for!
